Apprenticeship
During the 1600-1800 many things were happening in America.  We had the founding of the colonies to the establishment of a new nation.
This month we want to find out about the rest of the world.  Those of you, who have not made a timeline, make one.  You can ask Sister Allen for continuous paper or you can tape 8 pages side by side in the landscape style. Each page represents 25 years. That means the first page goes from 1600-1625, the second page goes from 1625-1650, etc…
Pick a country outside of Colonial America, such  as: Japan, China, Australia, Middle East- known as the Ottoman Empire, Italy, Germany- known as Prussia and other names, France, Countries in Central America and South America.

Come up with 7-10 dates that are the most important for that 200 year period. Have them on your timeline. Pick three that you feel are the most important to share with the group.  You are not just sharing the date but what the event was.  You will need to be familiar with the event so you can tell us about it in your own words.

Journeymen
Read so that you understand what articles 2 and 3 of the constitution say and mean.  That means you need to not just read the words, you do have to read it also but you need to understand it. Also use other sources to help you understand what article 2 and 3 mean.
Then pick one of these.
1. Pick a colony from the original 13 and find out how that colony’s representatives felt about the Constitution. Write a five paragraph paper: Paragraph one is introduction, paragraphs 2-4 are supporting what your introduction says and then paragraph 5 is a conclusion and summary of what you said in paragraphs 1-4.
2. Pick a signer of the Constitution and do a research paper on him. This should be at least five paragraphs. Please do not just cut and pastes from anywhere, (this is called plagiarism), use your own words.

Master
Define Mathematical Geography. Record this definition.
Find out who is the father of geography, record as many interesting facts about him as you can.
Do a word search on latitude. You will need the 1828 Noah Webster Dictionary.  I would like: 1. The dictionary definition, 2. Scriptures that have some of the definitions words or meaning in them, and 3. Prophets words that go along with the own words. You will hand this into me.
